Project Details
When my client bought this silent movie theater, I had no idea what a “Really Big Show” it would be. Wunderlich design was hired to redesign the run-down Granada theater. As I walked through this once opulent space, I realized it could never be that again. So, the decision was made to gut the building down to its shell. Underneath the plaster was brick and iron trusses that supported the beautiful old growth roof deck. These materials created a perfect backdrop for the contemporary, industrial interior.
