Project Details
This home was built as a one-story bungalow in a very charming neighborhood in Cherry Creek Colorado. I directed the owner to take the following approach. “Let’s not forget what makes a neighborhood unique. Many new homes in these historic neighborhoods totally disregard the character and charm that makes them so great. Architectural integrity has taken a back seat to more square feet and budget.”
“It may be better to work from the existing structure instead of scraping.” So, the decision was made to do a historically correct craftsman home that looks like it had always been there.
